"You Know"

By Bob Perks

If I could measure the time I've spent
thinking about things I didn't know, I
believe it would shock me.

I was always wondering what tomorrow
would bring. I wanted to know when the
pain would end. I had to know if all would
turn out the way I wanted it to.

Add up the minutes, hours and days I
spent, no wasted, focusing on things
that hadn't yet happened and at the
other end of my life I would wish I hadn't
wasted even a minute.

You know the storm will not last forever
it always comes to an end.

You know the pain of loss is harder the
closer you are to the time but the further
you are the longer you loved the one you
left behind.

You know that God had made the mountains,
the ones you have to climb but He also made
the valley's in between so that you might rest
along the way.

You know that when you are frightened in the
the night hours, the sun will rise, it always
has and always will. You will see the truth
more clearly in the light of day.

You know things are never as bad as we
thought they'd be. Yes, sometimes they're
even worse. Still, when it's all over, and it
will be, you'll either be made stronger by the
experience or feel foolish for ever having
worried at all.

You know there is really no reason to worry.
We worry about two things. Things we have
no control over and things we have control over.
If you have no control over it, there is nothing
you can do, so why worry?

If you have control over it, then there is no
need to worry, because it is in your control.

You know you are loved.

No?

I love you, now "you know."

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear
much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Goodbye."

London, Sep 7 (IANS) Sedentary men who work beyond 45 hours a week double their risk of dying from heart failure. However, men who keep fit or exercise and work long hours face no increased risk of dying from cardiac conditions.

The study examined data for 5,000 men -- aged between 40 and 59 years from 14 different companies -- which included their fitness levels over 30 years, reports the Daily Mail. The men did cycling exercise tests to assess their fitness and provided details on the average number of hours they worked every week, according to the journal Heart.

Around 70 percent of men worked between 41 and 45 hours a week, while around 20 percent worked longer hours. Over the course of the study, there were 587 deaths from heart disease caused by the narrowing and hardening of arteries.

Experts found that men who were unfit were at the greatest risk of dying from heart disease, particularly if they worked long hours.

Those who were both unfit and worked more than 45 hours a week were more than twice as likely to die from the disease than men working fewer than 40 hours.

And men who worked 41 to 45 hours a week had a 59 percent higher risk of dying from heart disease compared to those working under 40 hours.

Physically fit men working longer hours were 45 percent less likely to die of heart disease and 38 percent less likely to die of other causes than those who were unfit.

The findings, by a team from the National Research Centre for the Working Environment in Denmark, held true despite factors likely to influence the results, such as work stress and living conditions.

When I read about the concept of family, the thing that seems to harm most is the ads that do not show family but models to attract us to use or buy products. It seems that as we all imitate in media, the visuals of not seeing family concept. It seems failing the high values and ethics as we may imitate any model, but it is very difficult to do so when consider family.

The objection that we as the models can have is that why not showing our talent. It is as true as we think, feel and all know. If we as a model male or female accompany something that invites our attention to pets, animals, birds, plants, and thus nature in general. We observe that there is no difference in nature and a child, thus models or ads showing kids in it gives message of nature. Even the other person or old and aged one with one of any model it makes a great difference. The one and one are not two, but make 11 as we notice that our life is permutation and combination not just addition.

We know lot about the uncountable like water, but the humans are considered as countable. It is true, however, we the humans have abstract things that we possess, which we need not count if we want to realize the real potential within us and how it multiples as if permutation and combination, we can find the easiest ways for greater good, the wellness and welfare of all. This is one of the major reasons that ads that influence need touch of nature that is source of difference that we can make with family or together not alone.

This can make charity and ads working together in all hearts that is dwelling along with models in the great joy of being a fan. We are attached with models as fans. We can set an example for our children, and they, the children can make a greater difference, and thus our world a better place to live together as it seems to me.

I recalled my childhood as when I joined school I was not able to understand why all look different. The grade one was filled with this amazement from the first week: My research work includes my childhood, when I joined school, I could see some faces that has some difference, like Amber Maya, Tripta, and many others like Ghanaya.

I grew up as a younger child and then came Kalyan auntie, who noticed my face observing a face same as Tripta, a girl with hair color not commonly found in India and then my research story goes to say that man (means I, who knew few things give impressions that has deep meanings that we can know if we know about self-talk) has no observational sense about how to understand the differences, but I understand the diversity with appreciation.

Respecting woman as sister, mother and or daughter has been part of my brought up, so it gives sense of appreciation and feelings of appreciation for women that I have followed throughout my life.

I took Growing Up - Memories of Childhood and its Influence on Adolescence as my first research work at Year 12 at Muirden College, Adelaide South Australia that received distinction in 1989 interviewing about 65 different people and finding the common thread present among all - oneness of thought and feeling. All was due to sense of observing the diversity as unity.

I thank God for diversity to see the difference it makes in our life for greater good through unity. I wish you enough is a gift that Bob Perks has something special written and expressed beyond words.

The most charitable work that media can do among all others is to show the family ads in which the models can gather to give the sense of family and oneness. Otherwise, we may not achieve any goal in life if we are child, young or even aged, is not it.

Soul-to-Soul Parenting

Soul-to-Soul Parenting: A Guide to Raising a Spiritually Conscious Family by Annie Burnside is a wonderful book published in June 2010. First, Annie shares her own spiritual journey. She follows this by explaining 22 parenting vehicles including weekly family discussions, spiritual signs, family rituals, books, music and nature. Next, she explains 11 spiritual themes, the concepts underlying the parenting vehicles. The spiritual themes include soul-to-soul versus role-to-role, the physical body: a sacred vessel, authenticity and joy, true eternal nature, self-love, and gratitude and appreciation. Annie asks readers to use only the material that resonates for them. While intended for use with families, the material is universal and could be used by any of us interested in parenting ourselves.

To raising a spiritually-conscious family,
Karen

Colour and you

This guided visualization allows you to explore your relationship with colour. Do you have a favourite colour? Do particular colours have meaning for you? What role, if any, does colour play in your life? Let's explore!

I encourage you to read the visualization then close your eyes to work your way through it. If you need to open your eyes to remind yourself of the next step, please do so. Then close your eyes and continue with the visualization.

1. Get comfortable in a quiet location. I like to sit with my feet flat on the floor and my hands resting in my lap with the palms up and open. Having your feet on the floor helps you to root in the earth. Having your palms open indicates your willingness to receive. If you have physical challenges and my preferred position is uncomfortable, please choose the location and position that works best for you.

2. Now, notice your breathing. Follow your breath as you breathe in and as you breathe out. Breathe in easily and gently. Breathe out easily and gently. Take several easy, gentle breaths. Now, gradually deepen your breathing. Follow your breath as you breathe in and as you breathe out deeply and completely. Now, give yourself permission to relax. Feel yourself relax.

3. Now, open your consciousness and think about colours. What comes into your consciousness? Does a particular colour come to you? Does it remind you of a particular location, event or person? What comes into your consciousness when you ponder colour?

4. Now, let's explore what came to you in more detail. Do you feel any emotions? What are they? Are you happy, mad, sad, glad or something else? Ask yourself if it is in your highest good to savour this experience. If the answer is yes, please savour this experience. If the answer is no, is there anything that you could clear away? Sometimes things come up so we have the opportunity to clear them away and fill the space created with positive energy. Please use the clearing technique that works for you to carry this out.

5. Now, open your consciousness and ask yourself if you have a favourite colour? If the answer is yes, let that colour come into your consciousness. If the answer is no, ask yourself if you like many colours. If the answer is yes, let these colours come into your consiousness. If the answer is no, ask yourself to bring a favourite of a different kind into your consciousness. Explore what comes into your consciousness and savour the experience.

6. If you do have a favourite colour, what is the meaning of that colour for you? Let this information come into your consciousness. Does this colour remind you of particular places, events or people in your life? Let this information come into your consciousness easily and gently. Allow yourself to explore the meaning of this colour in your life. Savour the experience.

7. Now, begin your journey back to regular consciousness. Begin to notice your surroundings. Notice any noises in your surroundings. Notice where you are sitting. Notice your breathing. When you are ready, return to regular consiousness. Stretch and open your eyes, ready for whatever comes next in your day. Know that you will remember your experience with colour as you continue on with your day.

To the joy of colour,
Karen
